BRB, Making This One Right Now

There’s a reason why banana is the Minions’ favorite food. It’s not the first fruit that comes to mind when you think of making dessert but man, there are so many delicious recipes you can make with it. Think about it, S’mores make an awesome campfire treat but when you put them on banana boats; it becomes heavenly. But wait, there’s one classic recipe that will definitely make your taste buds sing — Banana Foster!

This is incredibly easy to make and you don’t need to channel your inner Gordon Ramsay to whip it up!

Ingredients:

3 chopped bananas

1 stick butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup dark rum

Salt

Nutmeg

Directions:

1. Combine the butter, brown sugar and cinnamon in a pan. Add a dash of salt and nutmeg. Stir occasionally until melted.

2. Add the bananas. Cook them until the pieces are tender and caramelized.

3. Remove the pan or turn off the stove. Then, add the rum and use a long match or lighter to ignite the fire. Don’t forget to stand back! The flame will die down in about 10 seconds and when it does, coat the bananas with the liquid.

4. Put a scoop of vanilla ice cream into a bowl or cup. Add the bananas and sauce on top.

Serve this immediately so you can enjoy it before the ice cream totally melts. But either way, it’s absolutely delectable. It’s perfect for hot summer mornings or cold winter evenings. Nah, who are we kidding? It’s perfect any time of any day. This is great for sharing… or not!
