Trail Cooking Ideas: Quick Thanksgiving-style Treat

Trail Cooking Ideas: Quick Thanksgiving-style Treat | Camping Genius Videos

I don’t know about you but I just love preparing my own food which is why I always like it quick and easy. And being on the road doesn’t mean you can’t whip up a dish or two in just under 10 minutes. You don’t even have to chop, slice or fry anything. And no, I’m not talking about instant noodles.

What we have here is a tasty meal with, according to the video owner, “a Thanksgiving flair.” That’s right. How would you like to have turkey for lunch? Or dinner? Or snack?

Added bonus: It’s easy to clean up too. Try this the next time you’re camping on your trailer!

  • Instant stuffing for turkey (packet)
  • White chicken cuts (in pouch)
  • Sweetened dried cranberries (orange flavor is optional)

number-one- Boil water in a pot. Use 3/4 for the turkey and 1/4 for the chicken and cranberries.

number2c Pour part of the turkey packet into a bowl — 1/3 to 1/2 is good for one serving.

number3-300x300 Fill it with the hot water and let it soak up. Leave the lid so it can steam up further.

img-thing Add chicken and the sweetened dried cranberries to the water left in the pot. This is to warm up the chicken while re-hydrating the cranberries at the same time. There’s no need to turn on the stove — the residual heat is enough.

number-5 Pair it with a nice cup of coffee. Enjoy!
